Signs

So here it is, in all its glory :) This is the 60 inch plasma screen completely assembled and running our first bit of digital sign goodness. Today my boss and I installed the Mac Mini inside the unit and had the rest of the display assembled. We moved it into our lunch room and set up secure wireless access to it. For the slide show, we use Keynote 3.02 and a small program written in Applescript by Steven Hunter (who works for the Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN) and customized a bit for my circumstances by yours truly. The unit boots up and launches the slide show immediately, and I have written some custom PHP pages that it loads for dynamic content (weather, internal job listing, headlines, etc.) We'll be adding more content, including video, and then place it in our lobby. Special thanks goes to Steven and the people at MacScripter for all the help getting this running.
