This is your captain speaking....

As of this morning, I am now a licensed sport pilot, weight shift class land. After many starts and stops over the last couple of years, I was finally able to complete all my requirements and testing. Because of the weather and because I kept changing aircraft I've had a hard time getting finished.

I went up with my instructor to get familiar with a new wing on the trike and hopefully get tested. After an hour of flying he instructed me to return us to the airport. I assumed that I wasn't ready for testing and I was pretty bummed out. Turns out, he was testing me the entire flight and when we got on the ground he told me he felt confident in giving me my sport pilots certificate. I can now fly on my own, carry a passenger, etc. I'm very excited! Its taken me a lot of time and study to achieve this. Hopefully I can finish my private pilot cert next in the Cessna 172SP, as I only need about 10-15 hours on that to be complete. Now I just need to find people willing to trust me flying them around in a winged go-kart!
